Miss Joan Fry at Basford Next Saturday

Keen interest has been aroused among local lawn tennis enthusiasts by the announcement in the "Sentinel" that Miss Jane Fry will play on the Basford courts next Saturday afternoon. Miss Fry will take part in a mixed match between the Stone and Basford Lawn Tennis Clubs, and play is timed to begin at two o'clock. Members of other clubs and friends are invited. Tea will be provided, and the following players will represent their respective clubs:-

E. D. Leigh and Miss Joan Fry (Stone) v A. P. Ford and Miss M. K. Smith (Basford), Fredk. Grose and Miss Wynne (Stone) v N. F. Gibbons and Miss Bell (Basford), J. E. Greenwood and Miss V. Wood (Stone) v T. L. Wenger and Mrs. Heatley (Basford).
