Representative Company at Annual Supper Dance

Members of the Basford Lawn Tennis Club were joined by a large number of friends at a supper dance held at the North Staffs Hotel, Stoke. The event proved highly successful and enjoyable.

An up-to-date selection of dance tunes was played by the Maori Dance dance band under the direction of Mr. R. A. Harrison and the general arrangements for the function were carried out by a committee with Mr. F. Wilkes as Secretary.

The dance was supported by representatives of many of the sporting organisations in the district as well as by a number of other tennis clubs.

The success of the occasion augured well for the continuation of such a popular function.
