Basford Junior Tennis

BASFORD Lawn Tennis Club hold their Evening Sentinel junior singles tournament on August 16-17.

The under-15 section will play on the Monday and the under 18 section on the Tuesday, starting at 9.30 a.m. in each case. All finals will be on the Tuesday, starting around 6 p.m.

The tournament is for boys and girls and is played on a round robin basis. January 11 this year decides the age group, but players may enter both events.

Entries close on August 1 at 6 p.m. Entry fee is 80p per event. Details from Mr. J. Whitehouse, of 10 Stanley-road, Basford, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 0PE.
