A Highly Successful Season

CONVERTING GREEN COURTS TO RED

A highly successful season was experienced by the Basford Lawn Tennis Club during 1934.
The Club's hard green courts which have been in use for the past nine years are now being converted into "En-Tout-Cas" improved semi-loose red courts.
It is confidently expected by the Club that they will be the finest red courts in the district and the Management Committee considers it likely that they will attract new members.
The Club has now a membership of 226 - adult playing members 111, junior playing members 38, and non-playing members 77. Compared with 1933, this is an increase of 41 members - 27 more adult playing members, ten more juniors and four more non-playing members.
The past season has been a very successful one as regards membership, finance, results of matches and the junior Americas tournaments.
