FRED Perry and Dan Maskell, who are touring Great Britain next month with their "Focus on Tennis" demonstration will come to North Staffordshire on July 14th, giving an evening display at the Basford Lawn Tennis Club.

Organised by the Central Council of Physical Recreation, the Lawn Tennis Association and Slazengers Ltd., "Focus on Tennis" will provide an opportunity of seeing the two famous stars analyse the fundamentals of the game, show ways and means whereby players of all standards can improve their tennis, and demonstrate coaching methods.

In a mass coaching item, 24 junior players nominated from schools and affiliated clubs in North Staffordshire, and selected at a trial to be held at the Basford Club, will be coached by Dan Maskell, who is one of the world's most famous exponents of coaching methods.
