DANCING AND BRIDGE

A supper and bridge drive organised by the Basford Lawn Tennis Club was held at Ash Hall Hotel and was attended by about 130 people. The event was a great success. Syd Dyke's Orchestra played for the dancing.

A committee responsible for the successful organising of the dance comprised Mr. W. E. Williamson (Secretary), Mr. H. Heatley (Chairman), Mr. C. Broomhall, Mr. V. Edwards, Mrs. Heatley, Miss Hocken, Miss J. Hope, Miss J. Hopwood, Miss Joan Lewis, Mr. Robinson, Miss Titley and Mrs. Woodhead.
