BASFORD FINALS

In the finals of the Basford Lawn Tennis Club tournaments, all the cups changed hands. Mrs. F. L. Wilkes, wife of the club president, presented the awards as follows:-

Men's open singles (Wenger Cup), J. M. Cooper beat R. A. J Keane; ladies' open singles (Wenger Cup), Mrs. S. Copestick beat Miss R. Bennett; ladies handicap singles (Bladen Cup), Miss R. Bennett beat Mrs. M. Morrell; mixed doubles handicap (Shirley and Heatley Cups), W. A. Copestick and Miss E. Hobson beat H. Wardle and Miss G. Wroth; men's doubles handicap (Club Shield), J. M. Cooper and F. L. Wilkes beat D. Osborne and A. K. Keeling.
