BASFORD TENNIS

Entries for the Sentinel trophies junior singles tennis tournament at Basford Lawn Tennis Club next month close on Friday (6 p.m.).

Results of the event, which takes place on August 3 and 4, will count towards the County's junior seeding list.

The tournament will be on a round robin basis, with the under-15 boys and girls playing on Monday and the under-18 sections on Tuesday.

Play on the club's courts at West-avenue, Basford, will start at 9.30 a.m. on both days, with all finals at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Entries (fee £1 per player in each event) should be sent to Mr. Jack Whitehouse of 10, Stanley-road, Basford.
