TENNIS TOURNAMENT.

The Committee of the Basford Lawn Tennis Club beg to announce that a SCRATCH TOURNAMENT, open to Gentlemen residing within a radius of twenty miles of Stoke-on-Trent, will be held on the CLUB GROUND, BASFORD, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June.

GENTLEMEN'S SINGLES: Entrance Fee, 5s. each, 1st Prize, value £3 3s.; 2nd Prize, value £1 1s.; 3rd Prize, value 10s 6d.

GENTLEMEN'S DOUBLES: Entrance Fee, in pairs, 2s 6d. each, 1st Prizes, £2 2s each; 2nd Prizes, 15s. each.

Winners may select their own prizes.

Entries (which can only be accepted if accompanied by remittance) must be received by the Hon. Sec not later than Saturday, May 26th.

Play will commence each day at Twelve o'clock.

Entrance to Ground, 1s. each; Tickets admitting for the three days, 2s. each.
