Basford tennis it by rain

ORGANISERS of the Sentinel junior singles tennis tournament at Basford Lawn Tennis Club face a hectic back-log today, after torrential rain caused an early halt to the programme yesterday.

Matches had to be abandoned at 1 p.m. yesterday, but with the help of St. Dominic's, Hartshill it is still hoped that the under-15 and under-18 finals will be played to schedule from 6 p.m. tonight.

The under-15 section, due to be completed yesterday was continuing this afternoon.
